Check-In: Where have I been?

Hey Girl! Let’s catch up. I know that I’ve been MIA, but here is why…

What’s been going on?

Like many of you, life has been happening to me. This is why I have been MIA. I had a family member get infected with COVID and is still recovering. My grandfather passed away, my husband lost a close friend to violence, and we’ve been pastoring two churches since January. While working full-time and taking care of other loved one’s and our church family. Life has been happening to say the least. I took a trip to Arizona with my besties for my birthday. This trip was amazing and very necessary. I have been slacking on my self-care, but I am trying to get back into the swing of things. I have decided to overhaul and revamp my current self-care routine because I realize I need to add a few things to my current routine. While also searching for a therapist and trying my very best to stay sane through everything.

Life has been kicking my butt, but I am back.

I am not complaining at all. Although, there have been some very stressful times. I am grateful and appreciative for all of those in my life, and I am grateful that God has placed me in this position to be a vessel for him, and be a leader to his people. I am yet a work in progress and learning and growing stronger in his word. Being a leader of a ministry is a full-time job in itself. I also realize that I have to take better care of myself.

On a positive note: I have found a new physician I think I like, so my husband and I restarted our journey to parenthood. We are starting from scratch in the process because it’s been so many years since we took a break. But the new provider has made me feel very comfortable, and I am preparing mentally and physically for this journey. I also had a bit of a sobering moment this past week that made me realize that I have to get back committed to my weight loss journey. Your girl is thick, thick! So it’s time to clean out the pantry, fridge and get back to healthy eating 100%. I am currently doing about 50% and working out is non-existent currently. But there are ups and downs in every process. I will try my very best to remain consistent going forward. So lookout for some challenges on social (Facebook and Instagram); I will be doing it this way to hold myself accountable. You all are welcome to join me along this journey as well; we can encourage each other along the way.

What can you expect on the blog?

I will be pumping out a lot of content. My husband and I are taking a road trip soon, for the first time in 6 years. I will be sharing some tips and tricks that were helpful for us. Please also send me some suggestions of things that have worked for you in the comments below. I will be sharing content about skincare, PCOS meal plan, books to read, realistic morning and evening routines, batching content, prayer, bible study and so much more. I will be experimenting a bit more with makeup; lookout for that. I will also be documenting our fertility journey and taking you all along with us. Look out for more lifestyle and fashion content as well. I am aiming to grow and collaborate more in the upcoming months with other bloggers and content creators. I want to improve on my craft and create better content.

If you want to keep up with my day to day, follow me on Instagram. I am there the majority of the time. In the comments, share your IG so that we can connect. Until next time, alright bye!
