This space has always been more than just a blog. It’s a chronicle of grace, grit, and growth. It’s where I pour out the lessons from my prayer closet, the laughter from my living room, and the wisdom God whispers in the middle of the night.
And now? We’re back — stronger, deeper, and more intentional.

What is this blog about?
Faith That Fits
I remember being 21, fresh with zeal and fire, sitting on my twin-sized dorm bed with my Bible, a journal, and three highlighters. I would wake up early, press play on my favorite gospel playlist, and spend a solid hour “in devotion.” Back then, my time with God looked like something out of a women’s conference promo: quiet, focused, and uninterrupted.
But sis… let’s be real. That version of devotion doesn’t always fit anymore.
Modern Ruth
We don’t talk enough about what it feels like to be in between that strange, sacred space between where we’ve been and where we’re going. That’s where Ruth met God. And that’s where many of us find Him, too.
Ruth’s story, tucked beautifully into just four chapters of the Old Testament, is often told with a romantic glow: a faithful woman meets a noble man, and they live out a divine love story. But if you really slow down, you’ll see Ruth’s journey wasn’t polished. It was raw, full of unknowns, and laced with loss. She didn’t start in a fairytale. She started in heartbreak.
Sis, Take Off the Cape: Why Being the ‘Strong Black Woman’ Is Breaking Us
Feeling exhausted from always being strong? Discover why it's time for Black women to release the pressure, embrace softness, and find true healing.
Journaling with Jesus: Healing Through Honest Words
I’ll never forget the day I sat down, cracked open my journal, and dared to write what I couldn’t say out loud.
It was raw. Messy. Unfiltered. A swirl of fears, disappointments, hopes I was afraid to speak, and prayers I wasn’t sure I believed would be answered. I didn't write to be poetic. I wasn’t trying to sound strong. I was writing to survive. To breathe. To connect with Jesus beyond Sunday morning smiles and scripted prayers.
That day, I found healing through honest words.
Faith & Femininity
There’s something sacred about being a woman. Something beautifully complex and divinely powerful that no mirror, magazine, or media message can fully capture. Being a woman, especially a woman of faith, means carrying both fire and tenderness in our bones. It means walking with wisdom and wonder, wearing strength and softness like a garment woven by God Himself.
The Sacred Yes & Holy No: Setting Boundaries
Let’s start with a truth that too many of us learned the hard way: not every yes is sacred, and not every no is a sin.
For a long time, I believed that being a "Good Christian Woman" meant saying yes to everyone and everything, serving at every event, answering every call, and overextending myself in the name of ministry, family, and friendship. I wore burnout like a badge of honor and mistook exhaustion for devotion.
Prayer Closet Real Talk
Sis, let’s talk. Not the social media highlight reel talk. Not the “I’m too blessed to be stressed” kind of conversation. But the raw, tear-stained pillow, hands-lifted-in-frustration, “Lord, do You even hear me?” kind of talk.
The Silent Struggle
Infertility in Black women is a silent and painful struggle that deserves visibility. Learn the facts, hear the stories, and find faith-filled hope and healing in this empowering guide.
From Line Sister to Kingdom Sister
If you’ve ever been part of a sorority, you know the power of sisterhood. The chants, the line dances, the all-nighters for service projects and probate prep—it’s more than just tradition. It’s family. It’s love. It’s accountability. But what if the bond that held you together as line sisters could also lay the foundation for something greater—Kingdom sisterhood?

Check-In: Where have I been?
Like many of you, life has been happening to me. This is why I have been MIA. I had a family member get infected with COVID and is still recovering. My grandfather passed away, my husband lost a close friend to violence, and we’ve been pastoring two churches since January. While working full-time and taking care of other loved one’s and our church family. Life has been happening to say the least. I took a trip to Arizona with my besties for my birthday. This trip was amazing and very necessary. I have been slacking on my self-care, but I am trying to get back into the swing of things. I have decided to overhaul and revamp my current self-care routine because I realize I need to add a few things to my current routine. While also searching for a therapist and trying my very best to stay sane through everything.

Millennial Marriage Our Love Story
We took vows and we work every day to keep them. We decided on Day 1 that divorce is not an option. We make sure that we tell each other and show each other that we love each other every day. We look out and take care of each other. Every day isn’t rainbows and roses. With God, love, and communication, we make it through the rough times. We enjoy each other’s company, we are goofy, we wipe each other’s tears, and we disagree. We put God first, put in the work, and love each other. Here is to eight years and a lifetime to go.
Are You A Proverbs 31 Woman? I’m not…
A number of us are pursuing our passions, starting businesses, raising families, mentoring, and being leaders of change in our communities. While others are in a season of waiting to hear from God. A virtuous woman is a woman of influence and grace. She is a force of nature, a woman of self-respect, principle, and morals. These are all things that we should aspire to.
